In 1996, a young Cecilio Alvarez sat captivated in front of the television set, watching Eric Clapton perform live on MTV Unplugged. Not knowing that years later this would become a pivotal moment in his life, Cecilio pursued learning guitar and developing his own unique voice with incredible intensity. Having started out making the rounds at every coffee shop, open mic and bar that welcomed live music Cecilio was able to cut his teeth as a live performer and develop a sound that is equal parts raw and impressive. Eventually culminating in the recording and production of his first EP, 'The Storm' slated for release later this year. Drawing from a vast array of influences such as Derek Trucks, Chaka Khan and Fleetwood Mac combined with an incredible talent for songwriting and the experiences that help fuel it, Cecilio Alvarez is patiently waiting and preparing for an exciting 2021.
